
The Selma Police Officer’s Association (SPOA) would like to congratulate Daviana Chavez on being selected as the 2025 recipient of the Gonzalo Carrasco Memorial Scholarship. Daviana is a recent graduate of Selma High School and is currently continuing her education at Allan Hancock College, Santa Maria. SPOA wants to extend its best wishes to Davian as she embarks on this new and exciting chapter.

Representing Selma’s Police Professionals Since 2005
Since 2005, the Selma Police Officers Association (SPOA) has provided a collective voice for its members within the bargaining unit. SPOA represents both sworn and non-sworn full time employees of the Selma Police Department and is overseen by a Board of Directors that includes the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. The Board Members carry out the duties and responsibilities of representing the membership on matters involving wages, benefits and working conditions. SPOA also provides fraternal services and benefits for its members.
